Eva originally
from the Dominican Republic, got involved
with N2N-MA during our first voter empowerment
campaign in Lynn in 2002. This was her first
time as an activist in U.S. politics. Eva
has taken a leadership role in our voter
turnout campaigns, worked to increase access
to social service programs, and recruited
volunteers to our work. She is the mother
of five children and is employed as a minimum
wage maintenance worker. |
Sharon got involved
with N2N-MA during our legislative campaign
in 2003 when she was a student at Lynn Classical
High School. She is most concerned about the
recent cuts to education funding and has represented
her fellow students at delegation visits with
legislators and through testimony at public
forums. Sharon enjoys going door-to-door to
recruit new volunteers and to get people to
contact their elected officials.
Martha first got involved
with N2N-MA during a get-out-the-vote campaign
in March of 2002. Since then, she has helped
build a strong N2N-MA chapter in Lynn and was
recently elected to represent the Lynn chapter
on our Board of Directors. Martha was politically
active in Puerto Rico before she moved to the
US in 1997. As a disabled single mother of a
teen-age girl, she has been most affected by
recent cuts to Mass Health, subsidized housing,
and education.
