N2N members testify at hearing: Invest in our communities!

65 N2N members traveled to the State House on May 5th to demand that the legislature invest in our quality of life and protect education, health care, housing and other programs.  They lobbied for “An Act to Invest in Our Communities,” a bill that would raise $1.37 billion in revenue to protect these programs that we all rely on.

Three N2N members testified at the hearing.  Aida Cuevas, a N2N member from Springfield testified, “More cuts to necessary programs and services will drastically impact my family’s quality of life.  The reality is that I’m just one example of hundreds of thousands of families that find themselves at this crossroads – food vs. health.  As a state, we need to think of long- lasting alternative solutions.” (translated from Spanish)
