Quote: Jim McGovern - "Neighbor to Neighbor knows that for real change to happen in America, it has to begin at the grassroots"

Organizational Structure
In order to be accountable to the diverse low-income communities where we organize, N2N-MA is governed by our grassroots membership. We strive to have the broadest grassroots participation possible in our decision-making process. Each chapter is led by a Steering Committee of activists. This group guides our local work and shapes our statewide priorities. Our Board of Directors is comprised of people directly affected by the issues facing working families. Two to four representatives are elected from each local chapter to serve on the statewide Board.

In addition to the Board and local Steering Committees, we have large statewide meetings of all our chapters each year to determine our political priorities. To further strengthen our accountability to the grassroots, these meetings are complemented by an annual survey of our members as well as local and statewide candidate endorsement committees.
