Cultural Organizer

Terry Gibson is an artist and activist born in Silver Springs, MD and has lived up and down the East Coast currently living in Holyoke, Ma. Steeped in the living history of his grandmother, who taught him and his brothers to be passionate about a variety of social and racial justice issues. His curiosity and openness to building relationships as a way to dismantle White Supremacy led him to organizing with groups focused on criminal justice, homelessness, substance abuse and sustainable farming. In the last 5 years Terry has been using art; photography and assemblage as another way to highlight social and racial injustices issues in the community, most recently showing work at the Springfield Museum.
